The Mark Walker and Sam Bergerson-trained Lightning Dream (Rip Van Winkle) gives Warren Kennedy his 100th win of the season at Matamata racecourse (loveracing.nz race replays)
Warren Kennedy had been in a mini slump in April that saw him unable to take full advantage of the two week suspension his nearest rival in the New Zealand premiership was enduring.
However, he had a double on both Wednesday and Friday this week to go to 101 wins for the season.
He is on top of the New Zealand premiership and is ten wins clear of second-placed Michale McNab.
McNab’s suspension ended after racing today.
McNab is chasing a third successive title.
In third place on the log on 86 wins is Joe Doyle.
