Many have been wondering whether the connections of Jan Van Goyen’s conqueror in the Gr 2 Jackpot City Dingaans, the Candice and Tammy Dawson-trained Trust, will be tempted to supplement him for the Gr 1 L’Ormarins King’s Plate considering Jan Van Goyen has been priced up favourite for the prestigious weight for age mile event after his easy Gr 1 Hollywoodbets Cape Guineas victory.
However, the connections have confirmed they have no intention at all of diverging from their original agenda. which did not include the L’Ormarins King’s Plate.
Jan Van Goyen is one of five three-year-olds entered in the King’s Plate alongside Happy Verse, Gimme Rules, Good For You and Vapour Trail and he comfortably beat all four of the others on Saturday in the Guineas.
