Moutonshoek’s G1 winning stallion The United States made headlines at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth on Sunday.

His classy son The US Of A made it back to back Southeaster Sprint wins when he won that 1100 sprint feature.

Under regular rider Richard Fourie, the Patrick Kruyer trained six-year-old unleashed a fine turn of foot which saw The US Of A mow down his rivals to get up and win the 2026 Southeaster Sprint by a long neck.
Bred by Riverton Stud, The US Of A has won six of 30 starts for R898 099 in stakes.

The US Of A, who is out of the Greys Inn mare Pippi, is owned by Robert Bloomberg, Ashwin Reynolds and the RAR Syndicate.

The six-year-old was a R130 000 buy from the 2022 November Two Year Old Sale.

The United States also looks to have a promising three-year-old to his name in the form of Wild And Free.

The latter, making just his third start, ran on strongly to finish second in Saturday’s G3 TAB Graham Beck Stakes (a race won last year by The United States’ subsequent G1 winning son Tin Pan Alley).
