The good looking colt pictured above was recently born at Maine Chance Farms.
He is by boom sire Vercingetorix out of the Argentinian-bred Kay Tee Perry.
The Johan Janse van Vuuren-trained Laurence Wernars-owned Argentinian-bred Kay Tee Perry was a three-time winner from 1160m to 1800m and finished second in the Listed Spook Express Handicap over 2400m.
She was by Orpen, who won the Group 1 Prix Morny over six furlongs at Deauville as a two-year-old and later finished third in the Irish 2000 Guineas.
Orpen, who is by Breeders Cup Mile winner Lure, originally stood at Coolmore before being bought by an Argentinian breeder.
He has sired 12 champions in eight countries and by the time of his passing in 2021 he had sired 22 Gr 1 winners, including War Artist, who won the Gr 1 Mercury Sprint for Herman Brown Jnr at Clairwood in 2007 before going on to finish in the top three in thee consecutive Gr 1 sprints in Europe..
The pedigree of the foal pictured above has a duplicate of speed influence Danzig, because Lure is by Danzig, while Vercingetorix is out of a mare by Danzig sire National Assembly.
Coupled with the stamina that Vercingetorix’s sire Silvano brings together with the fact Kay Tee Perry won over the Derby distance, the pedigree is an interesting mix of speed and stamina as well as obvious class.
Kay Tee Perry’s dam hails from a Seattle Slew sire line, which would have helped her get some ground.
