Geoff Woodruff won the Gr 2 SA Oaks with Elusive Fort filly Secret Potion in 2018 and the latter had her first runner at the Vaal today (Wednesday), a Master Of My Fate filly called Secret Fate, and she doddled in by over five lengths.

The Sean Tarry-trained filly faced an uninspiring field and was backed in from 7/1 to11/10.

She took a bump jumping from the stalls, but thereafter hardly came out of second gear and cruised in by 5,25 lengths under Keagan de Melo.

Her time was more than 2,50 second slower than the time for the following race won by the smart Life In Colour.

However, she looked like she was out for a morning canter and was never under any pressure.

Tarry said she did not show much at home.

However, he was excited by the win which is in keeping with her classy pedigree.

Secret Fate will relish further and is one to follow.
