Ridgemont Stud had a stakes treble at Turffontein Standside on Saturday as breeders and the Ridgemont-based stallion Rafeef enjoyed a Graded double.
Ridgemont bred the Johan Janse van Vuuren-trained Canford Cliffs filly Simply Majestic, who won the Gr 3 TAB Pretty Polly Stakes over 1100m under Gavin Lerena.
They  bred the Gr 2 TAB Igugu Stakes winner Beating Wings, who is trained by Stuart Pettigrew and was ridden by Calvin Habib.
Rafeef, whose only Gr 1 win was over 1000m, once again showed his incredible vesatility because the Igugu Stakes is 2000m and earlier his daughter Mrs Browning, who was bred by Wilgerbosdrift and Mauritzfontein, had won the Gr 2 Camellia Stakes over 1160m.
Ridgemont’s other feature winner on the day was the six-year-old Brett Crawford-trained Dynasty gelding Crimson King, who won the Listed TAB Gold Bowl over 3200m.
