Peter Thomas (Racing Post) submitted three entertaining reads for the HWPA Racing Writer Of The Year Award, which will be decided on December 5, and is a nominee alongside Adam Houghton (Sporting Life/Timeform), Lydia Hislop (freelance) and Daragh O Conchuir (freelance).
Peter Thomas (pictured above) must be favourite for the British-based award, such is the readability of his pieces.
It will be the first time he has won the award.
