Oldlands Stud is sure to bring quality to the Sale

The Sanne’s Oldlands Farm continues to come up with top-class performers. From last season’s Gr 1 Gold Medallion winner Good For You to this season’s Gr 3 Betway Lebelo Sprint hero Taxi To The Moon, Oldlands bred thoroughbreds are seldom far from the spotlight.

The Hemel ‘N Aarde valley based farm will be offering an exceptional draft at the upcoming Premier Yearling Sale. Oldlands’ Premier Sale draft, which includes half or full siblings to such stakes winners as Whistle The Tune, Phedra, and the aforementioned Good For You, is made up of yearlings sired by Heavenly Blue, Kommetdieding, Malmoos, Master Of My Fate, One World and Vercingetorix.

Barbara had the following comments to make about some of her stars in the Oldlands draft for the 2026 Premier Yearling Sale:

Lot 22: Cobalt Moon c Heavenly Blue – Lunar Ballade

By the sire of graded stakes winners Truth and Trust, he is out of a twice winning half-sister to the Oldands bred graded stakes winners Cat And The Moon and Taxi To The Moon. Classy first foal. He is a very well-made colt.

Lot 98: Goodforthemaster c Master Of My Fate – Slightly Blonde

By one of South Africa’s top sires, this colt, a full-brother to a multiple winner, is a half-brother to Gr 1 Gold Medallion/Gr 2 Race Coast Cape Punters Cup winner Good For You. This is a classic horse with a good frame and a lot of presence.

Lot 48: Lyrical Lane f Pathfork – Penny Serenade

By the sire of Gr1 winning filly Mighty High, this filly is a half-sister to three winners including the very classy Busstopinhounslow. This is a balanced, well-made filly.

Lot 49: Secret Whistle f Soqrat -Penny Whistle

This filly is a half-sister to two winners including dual stakes winning filly Whistle The Tune. She is a scopey, alert filly.

Lot 54: Pritti Special f Vercingetorix – Pritti

By South Africa’s reigning champion sire, Pritti Special is a full-sister to the stakes winning fillies Phedra and I’m Pritti. Her name says it all! She is well developed.

Lot 96: Dance In The Storm f Kommetdieding -Sky Glitter

From the first crop of the July/Met winner (whose dam was bred by Oldlands), Dance In The Storm’s granddam is a three-parts sister to Gr 1 Kentucky Derby winner Giacomo. This filly is both racy and light on her feet.

Lot 232: Haboob f Heavenly Blue – Fly My Flag

By a Gr 1 winning son of multiple champion sire Snitzel, Haboob is out of a stakes placed own sister to Gr 2 winner and equine millionaire Kangaroo Jack. Blessed with an iron grey coat, she looks classy and racy.
