Picture: Lot 48, No Nay Never colt out of a full-sister to Alboran Sea (Rock Of Gibraltar).

Brett Crawford decided a colt by Coolmore sire No Nay Never, put on the sale by his own  Crawford Racing, was to valuable to part with and he himself made the final bid of R1.1 million at yesterday’s Cape Racing Sales Ready To Run and Unbroken 2yo Sale.

The colt is out of Rock Of Gibraltar mare Pink Jubilee. who is a full sister to three-time Grade 1 winner Alboran Sea.

The second highest priced lot was lot 36, put on the sale by Klawervlei Stud as agent.

This chestnut filly is by Vercingetorix out of Captain Al mare Mana Mou, a Grade 3-winning half-sister to top class sprinter Mythical Flight (Jet Master).

Justin Vermaak bought her for R750,000.

The aggregate for the sale was R16,855,000.

The average was R195,988 and the median was R115,000.
