Savannah Storm roared through a gap to score an impressive win at Turffontein Standside tonight and it secured a double for jockey Malesela Katjedi. The Phillip and Jeannique Vermuelen-trained seven-year-old Sudden Storm gelding was officially 2kg under sufferance with the best weighted runner Captain Peg, but that did not stop him beating a quality field that included Gr 2 winners Feather Boa (runner up), Val D’Orcia (3rd), Humdinger (4th) and Peach Daiquiri (8th).
