1 1:00 PM – Catch Kzn Racing Via Live Streaming On www.galloptv.co.za Maiden Plate (F & M) ONE SMART COOKIE was backed to odds on favourite last time but disappointed. She ran a fair race on debut and if preferring poly could recoup losses. However she has drawn widest. CUE THE REBEL has been costly in most of her starts and finished 0.80-lengths behind ONE SMART COOKIE the time they met, but she is speedy and could relish the poly. Interestingly, S’manga Khumalo who rode ONE SMART COOKIE in both starts gets aboard CUE THE REBEL this time. QUENTASIA has shown some potential and having drawn well could get into it. Consider Kom Naidoo’s pair SECRET WINX and ALLEGRA ROSE.

In a Maiden Handicap, anything can happen. MADAME POMPADOUR and COURAGEOUS should fight it out on form. The former has taken a while to get going on turf but may prove a different proposition on poly. Cheekpieces may also make a difference. COURAGEOUS brings Highveld form and has the best of the draws. She can go to the front and can get away if allowed to. GRECIAN PALACE has not offered much of a finish in her turf races. She can stay on, on this surface. BELLE FONTAINE and SAMSAI have outside chances.

EXCEED EXPECTATION has battled to find a clear passage at this track and has drawn wide. He will need luck but could finally be rewarded. ACTION STATIONS has gone from a wide gate to a fair draw and can bounce back. RODRIGUEZ has been going well for rider Chase Maujean and may follow up on a thrilling win at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. He is a versatile sort. Highveld gelding NAZARE looks well placed after running two fair races in his home town. He can add to his tally. FAMOUS AND RICH ran his best race in a while and may build on that. GUISEPPI’S SONG is the dark horse.

MEXICAN PETE was well supported winning his debut beating elders over ground on the poly so has obvious ability. He should go the longer trip and has drawn well but meets hard knocking handicappers and will be tested. TIME TOGETHER has come to hand and is looking to follow up on a smart last win from a similar gate. TEICHMAN hasn’t been far off some decent individuals and is never one to take lightly in these handicaps. Rested JETAVANA showed good resolve to win his last start and the form has been franked. He won racing fresh so must be taken seriously. More can earn.

5 3:25 PM – Tabgold Score6 And Score10 Fm 86 Handicap (F & M)
This could be the right race for ICE SUNSATION who has twice won racing from a break. She enjoys the poly. MAGICAL FLIGHT is holding form and should be right there going even further. AQUAE SULIS is yet to win on the poly but has arguably run best on this surface in recent times. She could be upset material. CRAZY BLUES could be anything over the longer trip along with LOVE BOMB, who has been dropping in ratings. The latter, along with SING FOR WINTER, SEA GODDESS and RECKLESS LOVE, are capable of producing a powerful finish.

6 4:00 PM – Greyville Convention Centre Fm 88 Handicap (F & M)
NATIONAL STAR had things go wrong and yet was still the fastest finisher behind KAILENE and ACACIA’S BLOSSOM last time. She would be deserving but is trying blinkers and the poly. STRANGE MAGIC gave weight to a promising sort last time so was not disgraced. She could also be anything on the poly first time. ACACIA’S BLOSSOM has a good record at this venue but just needs to overcome the widest stall to beat decent opposition. She will need a bit of luck. MVULAZANA and KAILENE are proven on the poly as well and have drawn well so could be the ones to catch.

7 4:35 PM – Hollywoodbets Bright Future Fm 67 Handicap (F & M)
FORT J’ADORE goes for a hat trick and the way she won last time suggests she could be more than up to the task. Reserve STAR CHOICE (if getting a run) and POURSOMESUGARONME came from hopeless positions to finish not far off and need to be taken seriously. The latter has drawn a lot better this time. SPIRITED FLIGHT ran a much better race last time and is one to keep an eye on. She has drawn well and could improve on her one previous poly outing. POPPY OF BAYEUX and MAGGIE TEE are two of many that have the potential to get in the fray.
