Lyle Hewitson rode a treble at Sha Tin on Sunday and added another winner to his tally when scoring for the Douglas Whyte yard at Happy Valley yesterday (Wednesday).

Last Sunday he rode one winner for Whyte and two for Francis Lui.

He is now on 44 wins for the season and his mounts have earned HK$58,713,950 in stakes.

He is firmly in fifth place on the championship table.

A milestone 50 winners for the season is within grasping distance.

He had 27 wins last season for earnings of $31,547,780.

Considering his first stint in Hong Kong in the 2019/2020 season yielded just three wins from 225 rides, his perseverance has paid dividends and he is now firmly established in the racing jurisdiction where most jockeys would like to be.
