Alan Greeff forged clear in the East Cape Trainers Championship with a five-timer on the fairview poly today, four of them ridden by Richard Fourie.
Gavin Smith stayed in touch with a double and is just three behind his perennial rival.
Greeff is on 105 wins and has achieved it at a strike rate of 16.03%.
Smith is on 102 wins at 11.81%
Fourie goes to 280 wins for the season at 22.62%.
