South African Ryan Munger has won his first race in Canada.

He guided Silent Miracle to victory in the sixth race on Saturday at at Woodbine – his new home track.

Bred and owned by RCC Racing Stable, Silent Miracle, a 3-year-old son of Silent Name (JPN), was a longshot and is trained by John Mattine.

Racecaller Robert Geller tweeted that Ryan ‘sat the perfect trip aboard Silent Miracle punching out the victory in a thrilling three way battle in deep stretch’.

27-year-old Ryan flew out of Johannesburg with his wife Kelsey on Monday 1 May.
