R1 (1) Master Forester has been placed in his last two starts. Both runs have been encouraging and he will be the firm first selection from the inform Alan Greeff stable. Jockey Sean Veale has been in tremendous form recently so Master Forester ticks all the right boxes. (2) Nikes Ray Of Light has been holding form well and will be the main danger. He has the best draw and is capable of winning. (6) Just For U has been making steady progress and will continue to get closer. (5) Burn Bright could run into the quartets as this yard generally have their unraced runners well prepared, watch for market support. ( Devonne Govender 1-2-6-5)
R2 (2) First Wish had a wide draw to deal with in her last start and now jumps from barrier gate 3 which makes her a huge runner. (1) Sweet Cake ran extremely well in the last start and will be a huge contender if repeating that performance. (3) Global Scene has never been far, her last run was good enough and she is a must include for trifectas and quartets. (4) Fire Festival is capable of rounding up the placings.
R3 (2) Suchalife ran a cracker in the last start and will be a huge runner if building on that much improved performance. (4) Breede Baby has to be respected coming from a yard who are in top form. She wasn’t beaten far and will be there. (5) Trip To Barberton is very capable on her day and should be included in all bets. (6) Hugsandhighfives has always been supported in the betting however hasn’t delivered but can’t be ignored on best form. ( Devonne Govender 2-4-5-6)
R4 (2) Destiny’s Angel is in excellent form and could be hard to beat. He has shown plenty of determination in recent victories so deserves huge respect. (7) Specmagic has been holding form well and will be right there in the mix. (3) October Fair is never far back and won’t be far once again. R5 (6) You Win Again has been in outstanding form and is selected as todays banker. He has a decent enough draw and will take some beating here. (3) Mythical Dream ran a cracker in the last start and will be in the mix once again. (1) Symbol Of Love wasn’t beaten far in the last start in April and although coming of a break she has run well against decent company so must be respected.
R6 (2) The Inkosana has been in good form and is the top selection. He has a decent enough draw but has to carry 61kgs. (1) Harold The Duke is holding form and rates a strong winning chance in an open looking contest. (8) Ellis Island is very capable on his day and should be respected here. (4) Global Lady ran well at big odds and can build on that good run to get much closer. ( Devonne Govender 2-1-8-4)
R7 (4) The Mauritian is holding good form but has a tricky draw to contend with. If he can overcome the draw he will be a big runner. He can produce a big finish so if he gets some luck in the running he will have a huge say. (8) El Rey Viene has plenty of ability and will love the step up in distance. He has a winning chance. (3) Sequoia has been running well but does have a tough draw, he won’t be far. (1) Mhlabeni is never far back and can get involved on best form. ( Devonne Govender 4-8-3-1)
R8 Open race. (9) Guarding The Wall was supported in the betting market in the last start and ran accordingly. If reproducing that kind of run once again he will win. (10) Irontail is a very honest type and another decent run is expected. (2) Masked Vigilante is knocking on the door for another career win and should be in the mix.
