1 12H40 – Welcome To Nelson Mandela Bay Maiden Juvenile Plate (Fillies)
SAVIC has run some decent races without winning in the Western Cape and has made the trip down representing Snaith Racing. The last run is best ignored and she can recoup some losses with a win in this race. PARIS LASS has found one too good in both of her starts and met a decent filly last time out. She should be right there at the finish once again. There are numerous runners making their debuts but they are going to have to be good to beat the selections. THREE ROCKS is a Heavenly Blue filly who carries the flag for the strong Richard Fourie-Alan Greeff combination.

2 13H15 – Racehorse Owners Association Juvenile Plate
WAR LAUNCH quickened nicely when winning on debut. He made a visit to Kenilworth for his next start and was not disgraced when fourth. Back on his home track he could be hard to beat. Trainer Gavin Smith has won a lot of these juvenile races this season and both BRIDGERTON and WAZ WOUTER showed promise on their debuts and are open to improvement. FAIRY KNIGHT showed promise on his Polytrack debut and could be better than rated. Once again there are a few newcomers but they will need to be good to beat the selection.

3 13H50 – Tab 4racing App Maiden Plate
A big field but most of them are pretty moderate. KILMONIVAIG is improving and was doing good work at the finish last time out. This distance suits and he is the one to beat. Trainer Gavin Smith pulled out the newcomer THE WINTER LAKE when they changed tracks last time so could have been saved for this race and is the joker in the pack. WOODLAND RIDGE disappointed on the Polytrack last time out and is likely to be better on the grass. SIBERIAN FOX is battling to win a race but is knocking at the door and they have to come and fetch him this time.

4 14H25 – Play Soccer 6, 10 And 13 Pinnacle Stakes (F & M)
BELLE OF BELIZE has been a disappointment of late but is back over her favourite distance and looks the right one in this line-up. WISHFUL GIRL LINN needed her Polytrack debut and is best weighted for this race so could be a danger. MADAME VICKI was full of running when winning last time out. That was only her second run in the province and she has scope for more wins. She is out at the weights for this race but can run a big race. PAM’S PRINCESS, ANCESTRAL PRAYER and TWICE TO HEAVEN have all finished close up between them and could earn some money. So too could FLAME FLOWER.

5 15H00 – Tab Telebet 0861 000 822 Mr 90 Handicap
It is not too often you see a horse win four handicaps in a row but trainer Alan Greeff has achieved it with the four-year-old gelding BLONDE ACT and it will not be a surprise if he wins again as the last victory was again full of merit. SLINGS AND ARROWS is in good form and ran above his rating last time out. KEEP IT SECRET has a good record at this course and should be right there at the finish. PRINCE VIHAAN picked up a 6-point penalty for his recent win but ran well above his rating so could have more to come. CHERRY ANO is unbeaten in three starts and is very gusty so could also be a danger.

6 15H35 – Racing240 For Racing. For You Pinnacle Stakes (F & M)
SANTA THERESE has not really been at her very best this season but has still picked up two solid wins. She is well weighted for this and can add to that tally. IDEAL ANGEL may have been disappointing last time out but she has made rapid progress this season and is distance suited. VERONICA MARS tries this longer distance for the first time but has made the trip from the Western Cape and deserves respect. FIRST STREET has not won for a while but is capable of running well over this course and distance and can earn some money.

7 16H10 – East Cape Oaks (Listed) (3 Year Old Fillies)
There has not been much between SILVERLINKS and LOVE IS A ROSE in the last three runs and they both represent visiting trainers. SILVERLINKS gets the narrow vote to score. MEDLERS TART won nicely on local debut and did even better when winning last time out so could be way ahead of the handicapper and this run will be interesting. VIRGINIA SWEET has it all to at the weights on her merit rating but is consistent and can earn some more money. HAZY CRAZY NIGHT and stable companion DOUBLE DESTINY have been disappointing of late but this course and distance could suit.

8 16H45 – Next Fairview Racemeeting Friday 14 April Classified Stakes
The usual dish at Fairview. The last race big field handicap. Our shot in the dark will go to PEDRO this time. He has run fairly well in two starts at this course and could run a cracker. We need to go very wide in the exotics as many hold a winning hope. BETHEL won well last time out but is unreliable. Stable companions representing Smith, MODERN MAGICIAN and GLOBETONIC, have been disappointing of late but would not be surprise winners. AVERNI WARRIOR is doing well at the moment and can be considered. PICTURE THE MOMENT and GREAT MELODY are also course-and-distance suited and are not out of it.
