Drumnadrochit can beat the boys in the sixth race (JC Photos)

A Pinnacles Stakes race over 1800 meters is the headliner at Turffontein Inside on Saturday and the one to beat could be the talented Drumnadrochit.

In her last race in a Listed event at Hollywoodbets Greyville she was running on strongly for a 1,20 length third. She should have come on from that run and has a plum draw of three here, so should go close over a suitable trip. Palace Prince is in fine form and proved himself suited to this trip last time, cruising in by 4,30 lengths. He was given a six point raise and has a wide draw, but should be in the shake. Diogeneses will enjoy the course and distance and from a good draw should be thereabouts.

In the first leg of the Pick 6 Over 1450m the one to beat could be Storm Avalanche, who has run two decent races and was staying on over 1160m last time and should enjoy the step up in trip, although her draw of five out of eight is tricky. The hard-knocking Empress of Peace is a contender, although she does have to overcome a tough draw. Scented Alley is drawn in pole and on debut was making late progress over 1200m, so should be right there.

In the fifth race over 1000m Fierceness should be improving being by Hawwaam and he has the pace to go close. African Prince is a consistent sprinter and should be in the shake up. Continental King might well enjoy the step down to this trip, although he is returning from a long layoff.

In the seventh race over 1800m Guerrilla Warfare only just failed last time and should make another bold bid, although his draw of five out of eight is once again tricky. Special Envoy was staying on over 1600m last time and should enjoy the step up in trip. Aint No Doubt was staying on over 1500m last time and if overcoming the draw should be right there. Naretoi is drawn in pole and is only 2kg worse off with Guerrilla Warfare for the 2,10 length beating he gave him last time, so he has every chance again. It’s Now Or Never should not be far off Guerrilla Warfare and Naretoi.

In the eighth over 1450m Elusive Red won going away over 1200m lasst time, so should enjoy the step up in trip and has a fair draw under champion jockey Craig Zackey. Camillo Cavour won going away over 1200m on debut and starts off on a reasonable merit rating, so after being dropped out from a wide draw he could run on and go close. Super Awesome is drawn in pole position and could bounce back to form with Richard Fourie aboard.

In the last race over 1450m Max The Magician is in fine form and from a good draw should go close under Richard Fourie over a trip he will enjoy. Quickfreeze looks to have a lot of talent and if able to overcome a wide draw and set the pace he will be in the shake up. Wayne is talented and over a suitable trip from a fair draw he should be right there too.

In the third over 1450m Jimmy Vega is in hard-knocking form and should make a bold bid under Richard Fourie from a fair draw. Quirky by Querari is a full-brother to Gr 2 winner over this trip Cockney Pride and has Keagan de Melo up on debut from a fair draw. Purple Rain is well drawn and if repeating her last start she should be in with a shout.

In the second over 1450m Timeless will be hard to beat from a good draw having romped home on debut, although that is taking his fitness on trust as he returns froma layoff. Lightinthewoods looks to be the back up.

In the first race over 1200m Tenareef is hard-knocking and is taken to win it.
