Mauritzfontein Stud-based Vercingetorix sire Cousin Casey’s first foal was born on Monday 17 August.
The Mauritzfontein homebred filly is out of the Elusive Fort mare Fort Ember, who beat the useful Gr 1 winner Nightingale when winning the Gr 2 Gold Bracelet over 2000m.
This nine time-winning mare also won the Gr 3 Flamboyant Stakes and finished second in the Gr 1 Summer Cup.
She had a host of other Graded places.
Fort Ember had produced three foals before this one and has had two runners and one winner.
Her winner is the twice-winning Querari mare Hearts On Fire.
