Interim Suspension: CORSARO SUPER
The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa confirms that, following laboratory analysis conducted by its laboratory, the presence of an anabolic steroid, a forbidden substance in terms of the Rules, was detected in a urine specimen taken from CORSARO SUPER after the gelding won Race 2 at the Vaal Racecourse on 13 August 2026. The analysis also revealed the presence of a corticosteroid in the specimen.
In accordance with Rule 91.2, the Chief Executive has imposed an interim suspension on CORSARO SUPER pending the outcome of an Inquiry. The date for the Inquiry has not yet been finalised.
This interim suspension is a precautionary regulatory measure and does not constitute a finding of guilt. It has been imposed solely to safeguard the integrity and proper functioning of horseracing pending the conclusion of the Inquiry process.
