Chimichuri Run, the Blue Sky Thoroughbreds-based Gr1-winning son of Trippi, has welcomed his first foal out of Spiritofthegroove by Visionaire.
Chimichuri Run and Spiritofthegroove were stablemates at the Sean Tarry yard in their racing days.
Spiritofthegroove placed in multiple Gr2 races and won the Emperors Palace BSA Ready To Run Cup for a stake of R1-million.
This is also her first foal.
Chimichuri Run’s Gr 1 win was in the Tsogo Sun (Golden Horse) Sprint over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville.
By leading sire Trippi out of Gr1 winner Spiced Gold, Chimichuri Run performances included defeats of the like of MK’s Pride, Vars Vicky, Ikigai, Bingwa, Jet Dark, Linebacker, Pearl Of Asia, Good Traveller, Warrior’s Rest, Mardi Gras, Mount Pleasant, Kasimir and Russet Air.
The Bluesky Thoroughbred facebook page states, “He stands for a fee of R8 000 + Vat Live Foal for the 2023 season.”
