In the Grade 2 Punters over 1600m Cousin Casey beat At My Command by a length and Port Louis by 2,80 lengths.
However, Charles Dickens met that pair at level weights while Cousin Casey was giving them both 2kg.
That makes Charles Dickens and Cousin Casey inseparable on form.
Cousin Casey was also making his reappearance in the Punters Cup so should come on from the run, while Charles Dickens should relish the step up in trip being by Trippi out of Dynasty mare Demanding Lady. who won from 1200m up to 2200m.
Charles Dickens is in fact a full-brother to Somerset Maughan, who has won a Listed race over 2000m.
