Understanding incentives
CONSECUTIVE RUNS BONUS:
Horses that race consecutively in the
Cape qualify for the following bonuses.
If horses raid out of the Western Cape they will
NOT QUALIFY for the Consecutive Runs Incentive.
PRIZE MONEY BREAKDOWN:
• R 25,000 – 12 consecutive Race starts
• R 35,000 – 15 consecutive Race starts

RACES & INCENTIVES
JUVENILE BONUS
• The CRS R100 000 bonus is a juvenile bonus stakes incentive for
qualifying sale graduates earned for their maiden juvenile win only.
• Bonuses of R100 000 will be paid for the qualifying graduate’s first
juvenile maiden win in any maiden and/or juvenile race.
• R75 000 is awarded to the winning owner
• R25 000 is awarded to the winning vendor. The vendor bonus will be
paid out to the vendor from the first Cape Racing Sales auction from
which the horse was sold.
• Bonuses are limited to the first 40 juvenile winners
• The total payout is R4 Million

CAPE RACING SALES SLIPPER
• The Slipper is run over 1200m for qualifying 2yo graduates of Cape
Racing Sales, this race forms part of the Cape Summer Festival of
Racing at the picturesque Hollywoodbets Kenilworth Racecourse.
Cape Town is an alluring tourist destination for world travelers
during a temperate summer, with exceptional racing and quality
sales, creating an experience that is quintessentially Cape Town.
This lucrative race will be run for a purse of R1.5 million in 2025 and
R3 Million in 2026.
CRS BIG CAP
• The R5 million CRS BIG CAP is the exciting new ‘slot’ race which
will headline the Festival Cape Racing Sales race day and will be
run as a handicap, with conditions. The inaugural running of the
R5 million CRS BIG CAP in 2025 will be contested over 1400m at
Hollywoodbets Kenilworth and is open to all CRS sales graduates
