The Hong Kong Jockey Club has recently allowed selected international owners into its membership model and yesterday Mary Slack had her first runner on the island.

The Tony Millard-trained Irish-bred four-year-old Dark Angel gelding Wings Of War arrived on the island with a record of two wins in eleven starts in Europe and those wins included the Group 2 Mill Reef Stakes over six furlongs at Newbury, when trained by Clive Cox and owned by Isa Salman Al Khalifa.

Yesterday he made his Hong Kong debut in a class 3 event over 1200m at Sha Tin and at odds of 25/1 finished 8th from draw 8, beaten 6,50 lengths.
