R1 Master Archie At Stud Maiden PLate over 1160m
Let’s Play Poker (3yo Gimmethegreenlight gelding Drawn 1/12)
He had a lengthy break between his first and his second start, but I think he has gained a lot of experience from those two runs. There are some juveniles who are receiving weight, you have to respect them, I don’t think their trainers would have put them in open company if they were not showing some level of ability. Having said that he has improved from his last start, we’re happy with how he looks and we think he will give a smarter performance.
R6 Gr 1 TAB Empress Club Stakes over 1600m for fillies and mares
Lady Of Power (4yo Master Of My Fate filly MR 104 Drawn 1/8)
We’ve taken the blinkers off not for any reason other than it being a request from Muzi. I found they helped her race the way she likes to race, but having said that she wasn’t able to, she found herself boxed in and the pace of the race was determined by another horse. He feels without them she is going to be a little bit more relaxed and he can be a bit more aggressive on her early on. But in that race it looks like we are all racing for second place. Gimme A Nother, outstanding horse, I think there will be disappointment from all the racing viewers if she got beat. In my opinion I can’t see that happening and it would be nice to see that fillly notch up another victory. It’s nice to see champions like this in the country.
R7 Gr 1 wfa Jonsson Workwear Computaform Sprint over 1000m
Ready To Charge (3yo Gimmethegreenlight gelding MR 108 Drawn 1/10)
First run back from the Western Cape was a very nice run (won a Graduation Plate over 1160m). I think he has improved from that run. I think it is a competitive and open race, some of the best sprinters have been sent abroad, but big level of respect for Thunderstruck … he competed at Gr 1 level as a two-year-old and has maintained that through to an older horse, but having said that our horse is on the up and I think he will give a competitive performance.
Kiss Me Captain (4yo Captain Of All filly MR 110 Drawn 4/10)
Her last three runs I think there have been excuses during the race and post race with her. I’ve drawn a line through all of them, because its definitely not a reflection of her ability. I think the way the Computaform is usually run will suit a filly like her and it wouldn’t suprise me if she was in the shake up.
R8 Gr 1 TAB SA Derby over 2450m
Mondial (3yo Flower Alley gelding MR 105 Drawn 5/13)
He will stay the trip guarunteed. From his maiden win we have thought he would be a Derby horse and have slowly prepared him towards the Derby. He hasn’t run over this trip yet, but we have no doubt in our minds this is what he’s looking for and he’s come out of his last run exceptionally well.
R10 Listed 4Racing Caradoc Gold Cup over 2850m
Breeze Over (4yo Twice Over gelding MR 93 Drawn 1/14)
He’s every owner’s dream, consistent horse, always seems to get a cheque. Muzi’s got a great affiliation with him, he knows what type of horse he is and with a light weight on his back I think he is going to be ultra competitive.
