There was an incredible four-way photo finish in Tuesday’s 8th race with the Piet Steyn-trained Transact prevailing on the headbob under Ryan Munger from Beerenberg and Countdown, who dead-heated for second, with fourth-placed Dance Variety beaten by an official quarter-of-a-length, although it looks in reality like a head at the most (Wayne Marks).

Richard Fourie rode a treble at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth on Tuesday and two of them were for Justin Snaith, who also landed a treble.

Their first win together was with Van Hunks (Silvano), who swept past Tout A Fait, whose rider landed a seven day suspension for hampering Max The Otter at the 150m mark, causing the latter to be eased and finish unplaced.

Later they combined with another progeny of Silvano, the filly Silverlinks.

Fourie is now on 88 wins for the season, 36 behind leader Keagan de Melo, and he has done it at a strike rate of 19.78%.

Snaith is now on 67 wins at 12.93% and he is over R1.2 million clear of Johan Janse van Vuuren in the national trainers championship.
