(3) AND ACTION is much better than that last run and will be right there in the mix. (11) DUCHESS OF SEVILLE ran extremely well in the last start and has a big winning chance. R2 (2) BLOWN AWAY is making good progress with every run, Cape form generally stands up strong in the province so this individual must be taken very seriously. (1) ABOVE THE HORIZON is another who is getting closer and will be in the firing line. (11) HOT SAUCE comes from a top yard, they have an outstanding record with juvenile runners hence this runner will be a massive contender. (8) RIVER FERN can make progress and run into the placings. R3 (3) LADY SPRINGFIELD represents decent Cape form and will be the firm first choice, she has run some decent races and will make her presence felt in a big way. (1) FIRST WISH is holding top form however does return from a short break, she will be the main danger to the top selection. (4) PROTECT THE DREAM wasn’t far behind top horse in her last start and can get involved. (2) IGNITETHELIGHT is capable of much better and can run into the placings. (Devonne Govender 3-1-4-2)
R4 (9) GLOBETONIC ran a cracker in the last start at big odds, he was the firm first choice on that occasion when he just got touched off, big chance again. (13) FUTURE OF ENERGY ran extremely well in the last start, he will be a huge contender. (4) LEGAL THRILLER is capable of much better and one of these days he will pop up. (7) COURAGEOUS is never far back and can make the frame. (Devonne Govender 9-13-4-7)
R5 (2) GREENLIGHT LEGEND will be the top choice based on the booking of Richard Fourie. He has ridden HAPHAZARD before so he will know the opposition well. (4) HAPHAZARD looks to be progressive and won’t be far. (10) SKY VELOCITY is knocking on the door and another big run is expected. (5) LIGHT OF DAY is never far back and can get much closer. R6 (2) WITHOUT QUESTION packs plenty of class and will be hard to beat despite the heavy weight. (6) SEQUOIA is holding top form and will be the main danger to the top selection, big chance. (8) GLOBAL ALLY has been unlucky in some races and can pop up on best form, don’t ignore. (1) BINGWA goes well over this trip and is another who can win this on best form. (Devonne Govender 2-6-8-1)
R7 A race where many will make improvement, keep an eye on the betting market. (1) ANOTHERDANCEFORME looks to be a smart horse and can remain unbeaten in this highly competitive contest. (6) MUSIC OF THE NIGHT comes from the powerful Snaith yard and cannot be taken lightly, she is well bred and could teach them a galloping lesson. (2) ARABIAN BLUE won her maiden easily, she takes on stronger now but must be respected. (3) BONJOUR LA VILLE is holding consistent form and can place. (Devonne Govender 1-6-2-3)
R8 (6) COASTAL PATH is holding solid form and will be a big runner in this open race. (7) CHAMPONELLE is another who is always in the firing line and will be in the mix. (5) CAPTAIN TIK TOK is very capable on his day and represents value so must go into all bets.
