RACE 1: Preview: GRAND ESCAPE (6) has his third run on the Highveld and is well drawn so if reproducing his Cape Town form he could go close.     MONTMERENCY (1) attained a scalp wound behind last time when stepped up to 1600m and running a fair fifth but does have another tricky draw to contend with. GLOBAL APPROACH (7) has his third run on the Highveld and could earn. KHALEESI’S GOLD (8) will appreciate the step down in trip and could plug on from the front for a place. EARL OF CARDIGAN (4) is capable of placing in this field from a a good draw with a 2.5kg claimer up. (David Thiselton 6-1-7-8-4)

RACE 2: Preview: PRINCESS QUEEN (9) bounced back to form last time and on paper has a chance of beating Allez Le Blue and Mercer Girl but she needs to find consistency. ALLEZ LE BLEU (10) should finish on top of Mercer Girl going on their last two clashes but now with an accomplished 4kg claimer replacing a jockey she could have an advantage. ON CUE (3) should be right there on formlines too. ROZARA (5) was raised four points for her last win over this trip but that is alleviated by the 1,5kg claim of in demand apprentice Venniker. MERCER GIRL (8) has just 1,75 lengths to find with Rozara and faces her on 0,5kg better terms if apprentice claims are included. (David Thiselton 9-10-3-5-8)

RACE 3: Preview: ALULA’S STAR (3) is quick and progressive and can score again. NAARAH (4) should go close back in a handicap. BIG EYED GIRL(7) face Seemyvision on the same terms for a neck beating but will have made improvement being a three-year-old. SEEMYVISION (5) is quick and ideally distance suited and only has to overcome a two point raise for her last win. ABALUS (9) can earn if producing her best.

RACE 4: Preview:   JUAN CARLOS (2) has an accomplished apprentice up over an ideal trip and he is well drawn. DUKE OF RAIN(7) relished the step up in trip last time so will enjoy the extra 100m and he can be involved off a four point higher mark. TWIN TURBO (1) is reliable and should be involved again over and ideal trip. (David Thiselton 2-7-1)

RACE 5: Preview: FLYING BULL (8) has talent and is well drawn and has snuck into the handicap with the minimum weight so is the one to beat over a suitable trip. IMPERIAL MASTER (3) is ultra consistent and distance suited. RAISEAHALLELUJAH (6) is progessing nicely but is widely drawn off a four point higher mark (David Thiselton 8-3-6)

RACE 6: Preview: REUNION (2) is highly regarded but has gone off the boil twice and a layoff might have benefited him. MOTOWN MAGIC (4) has the ability to progress. MY MASTER (5) ran well over this trip last time and can earn again. (David Thiselton 2-4-5)

RACE 7: Preview: DARK TRAVEL (2) beat a fair sort last time and off a two point higher mark can run on again over this slight step up in trip from a wide draw. FLYINGFIRSTCLASS (11) won well last time and has another chance over a suitable course and distance. CHERINGOMA (7) is progressing well and this is an ideal trip. (David Thiselton 2-11-7)

RACE 8: Preview: TERRA Time (8) has some good form and can be involved from a good draw over a suitable trip. PRINCESS KESH (10) is well drawn and will enjoy the step up in trip. PHOENIX (4) has run well the last three times she has gone over this trip but does have a tricky draw. ROSAPRIMA (2) is promising but does have a tricky draw. DANCING ARABIAN (9) has improved and can be involved over a suitable trip. LET THERE BE LIGHT (5) is better than her last start.
