Preview: MISS COOL (1) has to carry a 3kg penalty for a win but is drawn on the right side and can mow them down late. ANIARA (3) is speedily bred and has a fairly high draw. TYPESET (9) has attractive breeding and with a 2.5kg claimer up from a draw on the standside is an interesting runner. DAME TWINING (5) has shown some ability and could earn. GALLA VANTING (6) is nicely bred but does have a low draw which is usually unfavourable. (1-3-9-5-6)

(1) Has impressed in both starts and can defy a 3kg penalty.

(2) Won well second time out and has favourable draw.

(3) Querari colt out of Grade 2-winning Indigo Magic mare.

(4) Rafeef half-brother to Rapid Fire (3rd Gr 2 SA Fillies Nursery).

(5) Pomodoro colt out of full sister to Lizard’s Desire (2nd Dubai World Cup ).

(6) Fair fourth on debut after slow start, should improve.

(7) What A Winter colt out of Listed-placed Trippi mare.

Preview: SET TO GO (1) looks capable of defying a 3kg penalty for his win from a nice standside draw. RAFA’S BOY (4) is speedily bred and has a nice draw. WHAT A TIGER (2) has a nice draw and can earn despite carrying a 3kg penalty for his comfortable win last time. VAR PARK (6) can improve on is debut when slowly away. STELLA ET CLAVIS (5) has an eyecatching pedigree and is an interesting runner. (1-4-2-6-5)

(1) Has a chance dropped back to this trip

(2) Got going too late in midweek and has unfavourable draw.

(3) Fair form but seems to prefer 1000m.

(4) Could earn if reproducing her penultimate start.

(6) Five month layoff after two fair runs in stronger fields.

(7) Soft Falling Rain filly out of Listed-placed Captain Al mare.

(8) Jay Peg filly out of one-time winning Exceed And Excel mare.

Preview: MAYENNE (9) ran on strongly last time here over 1000m and just failed but now has an unfavourable low draw to contend with. BONNAROO (6) is well bred and after two fair runs might have strengthened and benefited from a five month layoff. EBULLIENCE (7) is speedily bred and is drawn on the right side. TRACY’S PRINCESS (1) will enjoy the step back in trip but is drawn on the low side. NAZDAROYVA (4) has a nice high draw and is capable of earning. (9-6-7-1-4)

(1) Brings good form over further from the strongest centre.

(2) Fair form before eight month layoff.

(3) Improved run last time with blinkers back on.

(4) Can earn if repeating anyone of last three starts.

(5) Moderate sort capable of a place

(6) Needs to improve on KZN form

(8) Bezrin half-brother to Castle Tankard winner Yer-Maan

(9) Went close second time out in similar field, tough draw

(10) By Futura from family of National Currency, brush wound on poor debut.

(11) Eyecatching finish on debut over course and distance.

Preview: VENGEANCE FOREVER (1) has a tough draw but brings some good Cape Town form from 1400m to `1600m and he doesn’t have a lot to beat. GOLD LAVA (11) caught the eye finishing strongly on debut over course and distance and should have benefited from the experience. CHYAVANA (9) went close in a similar field last time but now has the unfavourable number one draw to contend with. MAGIC DANCER (2) had some fair form before an eight month layoff. MINI COOP (12) is by disappointing sire Coup De Grace and is a half-brother to the smart and ultra quick Basadi Faith. (1-11-9-2-12

RACE 5

(1) Classy and courageous, best weighted and ideal trip, tough draw.

(2) Classy, fine turn of foot, needed last and well drawn.

(3) Beat (1) and (2) last time but now has tough task at the weights.

(4) Last win was this race two years ago, drawn in pole.

(5) Has come into his own, trip a touch sharp but runs on well.

(6) Will love the trip, expect a flying finish.

(7) One first two starts over 1200m so interesting drop in trip.

(8) Dead-heated with (6) last time but now 4kg worse off.

(9) Dangerous front-runner, tough task at the weights.

(10) Progressive over sprints, tries further, well drawn.

Preview: CHIMICHURI RUN (6) has lost some of his speed but has good form up to 1600m and should be flying home. MK’S PRIDE is the best in at the weights and this courageous horse can overcome the draw. AL MUTHANA (5) Has come into his own and will be finishing strongly although he would likely prefer 1600m. BINGWA (2) has a fine turn of foot on his day and could place. CIRILLO (4) is drawn in pole and won this race easily two years ago. (6-1-5-2-4)

(1) Top class but stamina question mark.

(2) Proven class and set to relish the step up in trip.

(3) Stable confident of a big run for progressive filly.

(4) One paced-late last time and three lengths to find on (2).

(5) Glimpses of class, proven over this 1800m trip.

(6) Has gone close over this trip, he dark horse.

(7) Can do better than last time.

(8) Highly regarded, looking for trip, blinkers off.

(9) Big step up in class.

(10) Has shown promise, big step up in class.

Preview: RAIN IN HOLLAND (2) ran on powerfully to win the Gautang Fillies Guineas and will relish this step up in trip. SPRINKLES (3) is improving all the time and should enjoy the step up in trip. DESERT MIRACLE (1) possibly went for home too early in the latter race and this top class filly can make amends with a ore conservative ride but she does have a stamina doubt. FOLLOW ME (8) has always been held in igh regard and goes over her right trip now but does have a tough draw. CLAFOUTIS (5) has shown glimpses of class and is distance suited. (2-3-1-8-5)

RACE 7

(1) Top class and proven stamina, tricky draw.

(2) Stayed on well in Gauteng Guineas (GG) for 2nd.

(3) Improving, much better drawn than when 3rd in GG.

(4) Top class and will relish this trip, big threat.

(5) Disappointing in GG, tongue tie off, an improve.

(6) Tough draw, stamina question mark.

(7) Classy, pole position, half-brother has won over trip.

(8) Longstrider, disappointing in GG, another wide draw.

(9) Progressive sort who can run a place.

(10) Unbeaten and should be cherry ripe.

(11) Won well on debut, highly regarded, big step up.

Preview: SAFE PASSAGE (1) is full of class and can take one more step towards the Triple Crown. ARAGOSTA (4) has plenty of class and will relish this step up in trip. OUTOFTHEDARKNESS (3) is progressive and having run on strongly in the Gauteng Guineas for third is now much better drawn. ZEUS (10) was still underdone for his last start so this exciting unbeaten colt will be a threat. CAPTAIN LANNISTER (7) has a lot of class so is interesting drawn in pole over a step up to a trip a sibling of his has won over. PYROMANIAC (2) is bred to go this trip and further and ran on well for second in the Gauteng Guineas, although he does not look like a middle distance horse. (1-4-3-10-7-2)

(1) Failed on first raid here but is joint best-weighted.

(2) Joint best-weight and easier task than she had in Cape Town.

(3) Grade 1 winner over this 1600m trip.

(4) Capable but needs to improve on last three runs.

(5) Loves this course and distance.

(6) Disappointing sort needs to bounce back.

(7) Loves course and distance but is off form.

(8) Has shown glimpses of class and distance suited.

Preview: PRETTY BETTY (2) has a much easier task here than she has been facing in Cape Town and is a runner. ADMIRE ME (5) clearly loves the course and distance and should go close again. SENTBYDESTINY (3) is a Grade 1 winner over this trip and has a fair draw. PIN UP (12) bounced back to form last time and is well drawn. BON VIVANT (10) is on the up but does have a tough draw. ROSAPRIMA (8) has shown glimpses of class but has a high draw over this suitable trip. (2-5-3-12-10-8)

(1) Capable frontrunner over this trip, big weight.

(2) Grade 1 SA Derby winner, can bounce back

(3) Consistent stayer

(4) In fine form and enjoys this trip

(5) Capable but has gone off the boil

(6) Exciting stayer, the one to beat.

(7) Capable of being in the shake up.

(8) Impeccable staying record, 2kg under sufferance but progressive.

(9) Tough task at the weights.

Preview: SHANGANI (6) was too far back last time but should make amends. BLACK THORN (8) has a fine record over staying trips and although officially 2kg under sufferance can rise above his current merit rating. GREEN HAZE (4) has enjoyed the step up to this sort of trip and can finish strongly again. OUT OF YOUR LEAGUE (2) won the Grade 1 SA Derby and van bounce back to form. SMOKING HOT (3) always has a chance in staying events as she is ultra consistent. (6-8-4-2-3)

(2) Top class sprinter, tricky draw on the low side

(3) Proven in sprints at this level, low draw

(4) Disappointing last couple of runs

(9) Could surprise if reproducing penultimate start

Preview: CELESTIAL LOVE (1) is classy and has a good draw at this track for a change. HOMELY GIRL (10) brings good form from the strongest centre of Cape Town. UNDER YOUR SPELL (2) is a Grade 1-winning sprinter with a tricky low draw. BIG BURN (3) has the class but also has a low draw. HAWKER TYPHOON (9) can surprise if reproducing her run in Cape Town in her penultimate start. (1-10-2-3-9)
