It was questioned in yesterday’s newsletter whether Brett Crawford’s feat of landing all four legs of the Jackpot at Hollywoodbets Durbanville was a South African first.

However Cape racing editor Hannes Schoeman points out that the feat was achieved by all of the late Stanley Greeff, Andy Smith and Fred Pienaar on more than one occasion.

That fact is not surprising considering the dominance of the leading Eastern Cape trainers at any given time and it would be no surprise if the current incumbents Alan Greeff and Gavin Smith have also done the Jackpot.
