SONNENSTRAHL has come in for betting support but has not been rewarded on the Highveld. A well-bred sort he may enjoy the Polytrack and come to the fore. He has another top rider up in Anton Marcus. JUNGLE JUNCTION was green on debut and looked in need of a bit more distance after finishing fourth. He should come on nicely and has drawn well again. RAVENS SWORD has gone from having the worst of gates to draw No 2 so could make vast improvement. BEVOETERD has been consistent on the Highveld and would be deserving. GIAMBATTISTA has been gelded and could finally go one better.

R2 – Gold Circle Racing YouTube Channel Mr 87 Handicap

RALPH THE RASCAL has had two good fights in a row and would be deserving. NAVAL SECRET was entitled to need it last time after a rest when a few lengths behind RALPH THE RASCAL. He has drawn pole position and can make a race of it. SPIRIT OF MY FATE was knocking at the door before a rest. He has been fitted with a tongue tie again and needs to be taken seriously. KUUMA made no show on the Highveld last time but loves the poly and has drawn well. LUCKY DANCER is another specialist who could threaten but he has been given the wide gate.

If SPY MASTER takes to the Polytrack he could be hard to beat. He wasn’t far off a fair sort on debut and was unlucky losing a close finish after overcoming a bad draw last time. The form has also been franked. CLEAN SLATE found stable companion Thunder Masala one too good last time out but showed he is coming along the right way. He has Polytrack experience and could be dangerous. Highveld filly HIGH FLYBY wasn’t far off after a rest and can only improve. She may have needed time to mature and rates a definite chance. GENTLE RAIN showed potential in his Western Cape debut.

Wide open. GUISEPPI’S SONG looks to have needed his last two after a long break. He has not finished far off and could be ready to make improvement in his third run after a rest. WILDEYE did what was required to win after rest and is also open to more progress. He has drawn well and should have every chance. SCOTTADITO is the dark horse on the poly first time. She has shown good pace on the Highveld and having dropped in ratings showed form again last time. Specialist BRANDENBURG has drawn a bit wide but his last form line looks decent. DON’T TOUCH ME must be respected. Tough race.

R5 – Soccer Any15 Mr 74 Handicap

Improving Futura three-year-old CYBER TIME gets gate No 1 on his poly debut. The gelding’s running style suggests he could be effective and having Anton Marcus up at Greyville won’t hurt either. QUERARI’S COWBOY showed something like his very best last time when well backed. He has the early speed to overcome his draw and can follow up. MONARCHY and Western Cape colt HINCKLEY will enjoy a good pace and could threaten the principals if timing it right. The latter was consistent in the Cape but has drawn badly on local debut. NATIONAL FLAG can’t be discounted either.

BECKONING BEAUTY has been beaten twice by STING RAY on the two occasions they have met but at the weights could turn it around, especially now she has found form. STING RAY has won two of her last three and the key is the 1000m trip. She could remain unbeaten over it as she has drawn best. But FLASHY KAITRINA is in the race. She is knocking hard at the door and if getting going in time could be rewarded. Cape filly ANTICO AMORE beat a subsequent winner on her poly debut and this was after a long break. She could make much improvement.

R7 – Greyville Convention Centre Fm 65 Handicap (F & M)

FEARLESS KITTY was way more decisive with blinkers, showing good pace throughout to win her maiden. She can continue improving and make a successful handicap debut. Hard-knockers MISS CHARLOTTE and ARCTIC PRINCESS could give her a tough time. The former is in good form and put in useful work to finish among males in her last race. ARCTIC PRINCESS was holding form nicely before a rest. She could come out flying racing fresh. MAID IN FRANCE and CORDOBESA have secured the best of the draws and could be ones to cause an upset.

R8 – Hollywoodbets Bright Future Fm 65 Handicap (F & M)

WINTER’S DESTINY looked capable of following up on her maiden win but a wide draw did just enough to spoil her record on the poly. She meets similar and can set the record straight this time. SWISS BANK gave signs she’s ready to challenge for the win after a rest last time. She must come on and has secured a great gate. FLOWER SEASON has a bit more to do at the weights this time but needs to be respected regardless. She loves this track. LEOPARD LADY caught the eye but needs to confirm as she has previously looked a better turf horse. Cape filly MEL’S PRINCESS could be anything.
