The Vaughan Marshall-trained Senso Unico (Twice Over) was gelded after his staying on fourth place finish in the Grade 1 Jonsson Workwear Cape Derby and  he caught the eye staying on in the Grade 2 WSB Guineas from a long way back for a 4,25 length tenth.

WSB Guineas Replay  (Senso Unico drawn 11 Scarlet, gold crossed sashes, scarlet sleeves with gold circle, gold cap).

He should come on from that run and a big run in the Grade 1 Daily News 2000 over a more suitable distance could earn him a place in the July field.

In the big race he could surprise if the pace is on so his current odds with the sponsor of 67/1 could represent each-way value.

The Sean Tarry-trained Flying Carpet (Judpot) was the unlucky horse in the Grade 1 TAB Premier’s Champions Challenge but was making late inroads to finish fourth.

Champions Challenge Replay (Flying Carpet Draw 2, Emerald green, emerald green and red halved sleeves, yellow cap).

He is also a big, long-striding sort like Senso Unico so will require a good pace in the July.

He has the perfect merit rating of 116 meaning he will be in the handicap with the minimum weight of 53kg as things stand, so his 40/1 odds could represnt value.

The Sean Tarry-trained Nebraas (Vercingetorix) is also perfectly rated at 116 and has a progressive profile.

He will stay all the way to the line and will be a particularly interesting runner if taking the lead in the case of a slow run race.

Watch Nebraas winning the Citizen Gold Bowl (Nebraas draw 2, Yellow, royal blue chevron, collar, cuffs and cap).

He is also at attractive 40/1 odds.

Tarry has won the July twice before which is a point in favour of Flying Caepet and Nebraas, and Senso Unico is by Twice Over, sir of dual July winner Do It Again.
