Heather’s Boy looks to be heading straight for the Hollywoodbets Cape Guineas (JC Photos)
The exciting Mike de Kock-trained Rafeef colt Heather’s Boy is a notable absentee from the Gr 2 Betway Dingaans on Betway Summer Cup day, November 30, but he still stands his ground in the Gr 1 Hollywoodbets Cape Guineas which is to be run on December 14 at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth.
His crack stablemate Greaterix (Vercingetorix) is in the Dingaans line up and also still stands his ground in the Cape Guineas.
Greaterix will be up against a good field in the Dingaans and it includes the record-breaking champion filly Quid Pro Quo, who has a plum draw of three and Piere Strydom gets the ride.
The other two crack fillies who were among the Dingaans entries, Gr 1 winner VJ’s Angel and impressive Gr 3 winner Fatal Flaw, have avoided the race and are going for the Gr 3 Fillies Mile imstead.
The up and coming Olivia’s Way also prefers the Fillies Mile to the Dingaans.
