There was a thrilling finish to the last race at the Kenilworth Winter Course meeting yesterday in which the fourth horse finished just 0,40 lengths behind the winner and it was superbly captured by photographer Wayne Marks.
The Justin Snaith-trained Steinbeck (Silvano) got up by a neck from Captive Moon (Flower Alley) and then there was a head back to Millahue (Gimmethegreenlight and a head back to Secret Oasis (Rafeef).
The main picture shows Steinbeck in the familiar Nancy Hossack colours (White, black spots and sleeves, white cap) about to assume the lead.
Steinbeck is owned by Hossack in partnership with his breeders Drakenstein Stud as well as Nick Jonsson.
The pictures below speak for themselves.
