The Peter Muscutt-trained Battle Force, victorious last year in the Gr1 Golden Horse Sprint, heads a full field of 16 as he bids to defend his crown at Hollywoodbets Scottsville on Saturday, June 4.
He was trained by Paul Matchett when winning it last year.
He has a tough task as he carried bottom weight last year and is now at the top of the handicap.
However, on the plus side there is only a 4kg spread across the whole field.
This year’s race will be a tight contest.
The Golden Horse has attracted the country’s top sprinters and forms the last leg of the Gr1 quartet, along with the Allan Robertson and Gold Medallion and the SA Fillies Sprint.
All four races have attracted top class entries in what will be a smashing day’s racing.
