Well-performed high-profile runner Garrix is off to Hong Kong!
The dual graded-winning miler will join the stable of Douglas Whyte in a deal brokered by Vermaak Equine.
Garrix, by Vercingetorix out of Makiwara (Smart Strike) was originally purchased by Justin Vermaak at the Bloodstock South Africa Two-Year Old Sale for R450,000.
He was trained by Piet and Elbert Steyn and won four races from 13 starts, including the Grade 3 Variety Club Mile and the Grade 3 Legal Eagle Stakes. He also ran a close second in the Gr2 Green Point Stakes.
