Race 1
Race Summary: BOUNDLESS BASH is getting better with each start and should relish the longer distance on pedigree. But he is trying the turn and has not drawn best. Highveld raiders MESCAL and stablemate I AM REGAL need to be closely watched. MESCAL ran twice in his hometown but didn’t show much – he has been gelded and could reveal much more. I AM REGAL has drawn best of the first-timers and is bred to enjoy this distance. EDDIE THE MOVER has experience around this turning track and being by Vercingetorix should relish the longer trip. He rates a serious threat.

Selections:
#7 Boundless Bash, #6 Mescal, #5 Eddie The Mover, #2 I Am Regal

Race 2
Race Summary: RED SOLE has been very costly, having finished runner-up five times in a row. He is racing in a competitive line-up and has not drawn well but could do it. Trainer Garth Puller has a strong hand with BEECHURST and CUP OF MAGIC. The former has run two good local races and has drawn best so must have a big chance. CUP OF MAGIC made a fair debut at Scottsville and should relish the longer trip. Another son of Willow Magic, SPY MASTER, looks to have more to come after a fair debut around the turn at Scottsville, but has work to do from a wide draw. KHANYISA INDLELA and PETECA have claims.

Selections:
#9 Red Sole, #1 Beechurst, #6 Cup Of Magic, #7 Khanyisa Indlela

Race 3
Race Summary: Not a lot of form to go on so if any of the first-timers have some ability she could be the leading light. COLUMBIA ROAD is bred in the purple and the trainer comment is ‘should run well if not too green’ but ADELANTE is by Rafeef and CINNAMON BLUSH is by Silvano so follow the betting closely. NATASIA should improve on her first run. She is bred for a bit further and has drawn wide so has her work cut out. MILKTART didn’t disgrace herself on the Polytrack on debut and should enjoy the longer trip. But she too has drawn badly. MIA SOPHIA could take advantage from gate No 2.

Selections:
#5 Columbia Road, #11 Natasia, #10 Milktart, #2 Mia Sophia

Race 4
Race Summary: AMERICAN DREAM was making his debut when a fair fourth at Scottsville in yielding going. He has scope for big improvement. RAVENS SWORD also showed potential in his debut (was backed) and that form line is working out very well. However, he has drawn wide and has a bit of work to do to claw back three lengths on GREY VIEW who has a similarly bad gate but has all the experience. He could finally get it right. CUPID’S CAPTAIN was badly in need of his first racecourse visit and could show more. Gelded GAUL RULER, HIGH LEGISLATION and badly behaved SHOT OF COURAGE could upset.

Selections:
#6 American Dream, #11 Grey View, #13 Ravens Sword, #8 Cupid’s Captain

Race 5
Race Summary: MADIBA’S CUPPA was well supported last time, didn’t enjoy the pace but in the end was beaten in a close finish. He showed his penultimate was no fluke and can go one better. TRITON is also knocking at the door and needs the race run to suit. He should have every chance. Highveld raider VICEROY should dictate the pace and will be all out to steal it. His Highveld form is fair enough. COLOUR MASTER caught the eye last time but needs to repeat at Greyville. CORAL COPY has run his best recent races at this venue so should be included in Trifectas and Quartets.

Selections:
#3 Madiba’s Cuppa, #2 Triton, #7 Viceroy, #4 Coral Copy

Race 6
Race Summary: Wide open top division sprint handicap for fillies and mares. PETRA has been running in tough races and could enjoy this event. She is one from one over the course and distance. VIVID JET was a winner a stride past the post the last time she raced over the Greyville 1000 metres. But she will need luck again as she has drawn widest. NIKIYA doesn’t know how to run a bad race and will appreciate being back over her best trip. Younster CIVIL RIGHTS could be the dark horse from gate two. She needed her last run and should come on nicely. DUNYAA is not one to take lightly.

Selections:
#3 Petra, #9 Vivid Jet, #4 Nikiya, #2 Civil Rights

Race 7
Race Summary: Best-weighted PEARL OF ASIA along with horses like TEMPTING FATE, BOLD RANSOM, COIN SPINNER and MOUNT PLEASANT have bigger fish to fry. PEARL OF ASIA has won a Grade 1 beating the best around over the track and trip but will need a hot pace. COIN SPINNER won as he liked last time but along with MOUNT PLEASANT has a tough obstacle in a wide draw so will need luck. Watch out for Highveld raider BOLD RANSOM who showed something like his best form last time out. He could enjoy it out here. It should get close between MOUNT PLEASANT and SOCRATES. More can take it.

Selections:
#10 Coin Spinner, #5 Pearl Of Asia, #8 Bold Ransom, #11 Mount Pleasant

Race 8
Race Summary: AL’S MY DADDY ran a cracker in a feature at Scottsville. He should go close in this company with a repeat. WINTER WAVES has been doing it easily when tried over further. He can complete a hat-trick of wins. Stablemates CASIMIRO and THE BAYOU are capable of doing well. The former has matured and is getting there but the latter has proven form over this trip. TONIGHTSFIGHTNIGHT and CORAPI have something to prove over this distance but this could be the day they come into their own. More in it with upset claims.

Selections:
#4 Al’s My Daddy, #5 Winter Waves, #7 Casimiro, #3 Tonightsfightnight

Best Win: #4 AL’S MY DADDY
Best Value Bet: #3 PETRA
Best Longshot: #3 PETRA
