Drumnadrochit cruises in by 11,25 lengths in her last start (JC Photos)

The Mike and Mathew de Kock-trained Drumnadrochit can book her place in the Betway Summer Cup by winning the Gr 3 TAB Victory Moon Stakes over 1800m at Turffontein Standside on Sunday.

She is a tall filly who is coming into her own and although the chief opposition had no luck in running last time when she won over this trip by 11,25 lengths, she won it hands and heels. She looks to have come into her own and as a relaxed type can overcome the wide draw of 12 out of 12. She is the best in at the weights and will be ridden by Chase Maujean, who replaces Callan Murray as the latter can’t make the 51,5kg weight.

Palace Prince is drawn in pole and being at the top of the lowest merit rating band only has to carry 51kg. He looks ideally distance suited and will need a big run to get into the Summer Cup.

Main Defender is probably looking for this trip these days and proved his class over it when third in the Gr 1 wfa Champions Cup.

Olivia’s Way has proven class over this trip and has run well fresh before and she has a plum draw.

Field Marshall was second in this race last year and although he has a tougher task at the weights he could earn again.

The progressive Reece’s Wish looks hard to beat in the Listed TAB Summer Pudding Stakes over 1600m considering the impression she created when winning by five lengths last time and she has pole position to boot.

Care Forgot has been facing stronger and should make a bold bid.

Willy Meet Again could earn if getting to the front easily enough from a tricky draw.

The Listed TAB National Colour Stakes could see Whistle The Tune retaining her crown from a nice high draw as she only has a slightly harder task at the weights than last year and is in form.

Anchorage enjoyed hold up tactics last time and can be a threat if able to overcome a potentially disadvantageous low draw.

Precocious has talent and could earn although she has a harder task at the weights than her last start.

In the first leg of the Pick 6 over 1160m the best has probably not been seen yet of Speedman, who is drawn on the right side and is taken to beat Taxi To The Moon and Ziyasha.

In the eighth over 1600m the second-best weighted Porridge Boy has a race fitness advantage over the best weighted Wild Intent and is thus taken to win it.

In the ninth over 1400m Zip Code can confirm his good recent form from a good draw and beat home the classy Cool Gambler who has to overcome a wide draw. Bay Empire could bounce back from a below par effort last time out.

The first over 1160m could see the speedily-bred Quite A Day building on her good debut.

The second over 1160m won’t take much winning and Richard Fourie could bring home the Tony Peter-trained The Headmaster, a Master Of My Fate gelding who is a half-brother to the champion Mrs Geriatrix.

The third over 1160m could see Treasure State overcoming a potentially disadvantageous low draw as she looks to have ability.

The last race over 1160m could be fought out by Little Boy Blue and Willow Charm, who have both impressed recently.
