Maine Chance Farms-based super stallion Vercingetorix’s 22 stakes winners this season has been confirmed to be a new South African record.
The stallion phenomenon’s 22 stakes winners have won 31 stakes races between them.
The R35,200,109 in stakes Vercingetorix’s progeny have accumulated so far this season is also a new SA record.
Vercingetorix is also no doubt the best Sales stallion in SA history.
His average at this year’ BSA National Yearling Sale was a record-breaking R1,435,000 for 25 lots sold.
Vercingetorix is the son of six-time SA champion Sire, Silvano, and he will win his first stallion championship this season.
