Jane Thomas will have a race named after her at the Hollywoodbets Kenilworth meeting on Wednesday, but more importantly there will be a celebration of her life in the parade ring after the last race.

Jane passed away on 29 November and is much missed by many in the thoroughbred horseracing industry having made a massive contribution as a trainer, a pre-trainer and a yearling inspector.

The popular England-born KZN Midlands-based horsewoman also became a sort after bloodstock agent and taught others her array of horsemanship skills, so no doubt many will be attending her memorial tomorrow.
