R2 3 PENDRAGON has good pace and can use it from a good draw on this tight track. 5 LIFE GOES ON made a fair comeback from a layoff and from a good draw will be dangerous with the 4kg claimer back aboard. 1 THE NAVY LARK has pace and is capable of staying on. 8 DARK TIDE has the form to earn here. R3 2 MO MENT is the one to beat if repeating his first Highveld start. 7 GAMER has a good draw and under handicao conditions has a chance. 3 ROLL OF THE DICE has a chance on form if able to overcome a wide draw. 1 BREATH OF MAGIC is a long time maiden who runs the odd place. (2-7-3-1)
R4 7 KITTYBOYS GIRL is in good form and is distance suited and well drawn. 3 LINGANOMORE has a plum draw and is effective over this trip and in good form. 8 BUSHVELD has been right there in her last two starts and is drawn in pole. 1 GIMME THE FLAME is in good form but does have a stricky draw. (7-3-8-1)
R5 10 FLAG BEARER will appreciate the step down in trip and has a fair draw. 11 GILDA GRAY’s last two runs prove she is off a good mark at present. 13 CARNELO is capable of being involved from a plum draw over a suitable trip off an attractive mark. 7 FIFTH OF JULY is drawn well and has a chance if producing his best. R6 6 TEO TORRIATTE won nicely in her first attempt at a staying trip and off a reasonable merit rating can follow up. 5 KAKIEBOS wore first time blinkers in her second attempt at this trip and got up so could go close off just a three point higher mark. 4 ROYAL MAZARIN is distance suited but is off a bit of a tough mark at present after two wins earlier this year. 7 NUCLEAR FORCE is a consistent stayer who should earn again. (6-5-4-7)
R7 7 MESCAL has won over 1400m before and is off a dangerous mark if able to produce his best from a good draw. 1 SPARKLING JUBILEE won well on her return from a layoff and maybe that will herald an upswing in form. 5 CERULEAN DANCER won well last time and now has to overcome a four point raise, although she does have a good draw. 6 CIRCUS LIGHTS didn’t enjoy head gear last time and it is off and from a plum draw he can earn as he has run a fair race up to 1600m before. (7-1-5-6)
R8 1 LADY ELLIOT has a plum draw over a suitable course and distance and can go close. 5 RED CARPET GIRL is usually thereabouts and showed last time she enjoys this trip. 4 DAKOTA CAT has been disappointing but has dropped right down in the MR and if bouncing back could earn. 7 TWICE AS WILD should earn if able to overcome a tricky draw.
