Rob owns Crested Eagle together with Bruce Campbell, Doug Campbell, J E M Campbell, Timothy de la Hey and S A MacGregor.
The exacta had some sentiment attached to it to because Rob named the now six-year-old gelding Justfortheepenny in honour of his late wife Penny, who was a pillar of ‘Maritzburg society and well known for her philanthropic work.
Rob and his friends arrive at their local Track And Ball for the first race everyday and are there until kicked out after the last U.K. race.
His passion for the Sport Of Kings extends to holiday plans and he has recently returned from a trip to the USA to attend a few days of the storied Saratoga meeting.
