Russet was foaled down and raised on Lammerskraal Stud by our very own, Sally Bruss.

 

Owned by Messrs M W Bass, B P Finch & N M Shirtliff & Mrs K Finch, he went on to win 5 and place in 11 races, including winning the Kenilworth Cape Merchants (Gr.2) and the Kenilworth Cape Flying Championship (Gr.1).

 

He ended his illustrious career with earnings of R1.3 million and the title of Equus Champion Sprinter in the 2019/20 season.

 

He is living out his days at home on Sorrento with his human family, as well as two of his sisters that are due to foal down this season.”
