Elusive Fort is the sire of current horses-in-training of the like of Kommetdieding, Catch Twentytwo, Big Burn, Sprinkles, Naval Guard etc.
Elusive Fort is currently lying in 7th place on the National Sires log.
De Beyer posted in the comments section on the Sporting Post, “I am happy to report that Elusive Fort received much improved support last year, covering 65 mares, after the two very tough couple of seasons which were impacted by COVID. Indications are that he will be similarly supported this year. He is in great condition ahead of the breeding season. He has done us proud since returning to SA to stud in 2010, and his achievements are more notable as he has done it the hard way without getting many top mares. He upgrades his mares, and gets top performers of both sexes, and over a variety of distances. On behalf of the EF Syndicate, thanks to all the breeders and buyers of yearlings who have supported him over the years.”
These comments were in response to an article about sires who deserved more breaks.
