Three-times SA Champion Jockey Lyle Hewitson reached the 60 winner mark as an apprentice in a record breaking 18 weeks and two days and it took him 460 rides.
Rachel Venniker has taken a lot longer time, doing it in 45 weeks and five days, but she only took 466 rides to achieve it.
She reached the milestone on the Hollywoodbets Greyville poly on Monday aboard the Doug Campbell-trained Lake Como (Capetown Noir), who converted 18/10 favouritism in the fourth race, a maiden plate over 1400m (see main picture).

There was a recent suggestion she could be caught in the race for the national apprentice title by Kaidan Brewer as he was closing and she had gone through a spell of six weeks without a winner.
However, she responded by rattling off successive doubles in the two poly meetings last week.
Her winner on Monday then took her took her to 60 winners as an apprentice, meaning she will no longer receive a weight claim.
She has also forged 12 clear of Brewer.
She has ridden 56 winners this season at a strike rate of 12.96%.
