JOCKEY Daniel Muscutt, son of seasoned horseman Peter Muscutt, assistant trainer to Brett Crawford in KZN, will be riding for their stable and Ivan/Darryl Moore at Scottsville on Sunday.

The 22-year-old Muscutt has four rides on the eight-race card. He started as an apprentice in Cape Town and currently rides for prominent trainer James Fanshawe and Marco Botti in the UK. He is in South Africa on a busman’s holiday.

Muscutt last season rode 45 winners including two Listed races. He also enjoyed his first ride in a Gr1 race – the Arlington Million in Chicago, USA where he failed narrowly, flying up to run second, beaten a neck on Fanciful Angel. – Warren Lenferna/Gold Circle.
