OSCAR and Veronica Foulkes of Normandy Stud recently made a very handsome donation to the Cape Breeders Club when they donated a really well bred two-year-old filly to the club.

A daughter of Cheveley Stud’s promising young Redoute’s Choice horse Wylie Hall, the Normandy Stud bred filly is on offer at the August Online Auction (which started Friday), and the proceedings of her sale will go to the Cape Breeders Club.

The filly (Lot 56) in question, who will return to Normandy when she turns five, is a half-sister to talented four-year-old Sachdev, who ran second in last season’s G1 ARF Commemorative Cape Derby and who has already earned more than R1.3 million in prize money.

Out of the Kabool mare Quetta (a full-sister to the smart, stakes placed Mazar-e-sharif and half-sister to G1 Cape Derby winner Bravura), the Wylie Hall filly hails from the same family as the Normandy Stud bred Horse Of The Year Winter Solstice as well as the Normandy bred Equus Champion, and four time G1 winner, Mother Russia (dam of champion Nother Russia).

Insurance for Critical Care and Life Saving Surgery has very kindly been sponsored by Kuda, and the club would like to thank Kuda for this handsome assistance.

The Cape Breeders Club would like to thank Oscar and Veronica for their generous gesture and wish them all the best for this filly’s sale.
