NEW Turf Carriers have launched a campaign to help farmers in the drought-stricken Karoo area.

Three trucks from New Turf and SF Logistics will be loaded with all sorts of things from feed for horses and sheep to teff and water, to be delivered to the village of Aberdeen, south of Graaff-Reinett.

From this central point the goods will be distributed to more than 80 farmers in the region.

“We have also donated R20,000 to the cause, the people of the Karoo region are going through terrible times and need help urgently, said Matthew Sham of New Turf.

“Every bit helps,” he added. “Anybody can contribute to this cause, the trucks will be filled up with donations and we’ll be leaving in the next 10 days.”

Mail for further information or to donate in kindness.
