Inquiry – Jockey Xolane Ndlovu
The National Horseracing Authority confirms that at an inquiry held in Port Elizabeth on 12 January 2021, Jockey Xolane Ndlovu was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.3. The particulars being that he failed to ride BROADSIDE out to the end of the race to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in Race 5 run at Fairview Racecourse on 1 January 2021, thus prejudicing his chances of obtaining 1st place.
Jockey Ndlovu pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Inquiry Board found Jockey Ndlovu guilty as charged and imposed a penalty of a suspension from riding in races for a period of forty-five (45) days.
Jockey Ndlovu has the Right of Appeal against the finding and the penalty imposed.
