BLOODSTOCK South Africa will be proceeding with the Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale at the TBA Sales Complex on the revised dates of 30 July, 31 July and 1 August 2020 in its traditional live format.

“The date of 30 July to 1 August will not be amended and it’s all systems go. We are liaising closely with all relevant authorities, including SAEHP’s CEO Adrian Todd, who is in communication with the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.

”Our intention is to ensure full compliance, with maximum convenience and comfort for all stakeholders. We will be providing full details as to how the necessary permits may be applied for, but in the interim we urge vendors and buyers to make their travel and other logistical arrangements,” said Bloodstock SA CEO Michael Holmes.

Holmes added that the BSA team believed that they were adopting the most sensible approach in the very best interests of everybody involved in the bloodstock sales delivery chain.

“Breeders have been hard at work in trying times prepping their sales candidates, and we need to do our bit towards sustaining racing’s micro economy and the broader national commercial landscape. We know that the support is there for a unified effort to make the sale a success,” he said in conclusion.
