TRAINER Joe Soma has announced that, due to unforeseen circumstances on the side of jockey Lyle Hewitson, he will not be able to honour his riding engagement aboard the stable’s ace three-year-old Got The Greenlight in this year’s Vodamon Durban July.

In a media release, Soma said: “Lyle, while still riding in Japan in April, was originally secured to ride our champion in the Vodacom Durban July.

“All is not lost though as we have now engaged our old friend Muzi Yeni to pilot Got The Greenlight. Muzi and our stable have had great success, including Grade 1’s through the years.

“We hope that this doesn’t have major ramifications on the betting, but we felt that it was best to let the punters know of this change.”
